The weather here over the weekend was near perfection…not too hot, not too cold. The Spring-like temperature brought with it an energy I’ve missed dearly. While driving around town with the windows down and my favorite CD playing, I thought about the things I love about Spring.
Fish Frys
Grilling
Outdoor Markets & Festivals
Bookstores stocked with fresh New Magazines (my weakness)
The sounds of birds chirping in the morning when I wake
Smoothies
Fresh New Landscapes
Dining Al Fresco
Conversations of Walkers drifting through the Park
Bike Riders Breezing along the Trails
Playgrounds filled with the Screams and Laughter of Children
Cafe’s dotted with Laptops, Coffee Cups and Old Friends chatting away
The promise of Spring is so close, I can taste it! What do you love about this season?
Pictured above: Oatmeal with Bananas, Walnuts & Honey – This week (Mon – Fri) I’m enjoying a break from bread, meat, sodas, cakes and pastries. What’s left? Well, this breakfast for starters and the rest I’ll figure out as I go along.
Stopping by and following from SITS.
I am so looking forward to just being outside. I hate rushing around outside to get something done so I can get back inside quickly. I want to be leisurely and sit on my porch with a glass of wine after dinner and just chill.
Wow, the oatmeal looks tasty! I love riding my bike around town in the spring. The breeze hitting my face and ears is warm and the sight of the trees and flowers budding, bees making an appearance, and butterflies landing on my handles when I take a quiet moment to sit and watch. Spring is magnificent! But my favorite thing about spring is daffodils. I love how they glitter with gold flakes, they smell like honey, and they are the perfect spring decoration for any room!
Asparagus!
The beginning of berry season (which means fresh blueberry muffins, blueberry ricotta pancakes, and jam, jam and more jam!)
Spinach
Brisk morning walks
lightweight jackets
Seeing blossom trees get their little green buds!
Great post. 🙂 I LOVE winter but spring is great too 🙂
