What happens when Atlanta foodies are informed that there will be rain during the weekend of one of the city’s biggest food festivals? They show up anyway! Armed with ponchos, rain boots and appetites, Taste of Atlanta attendees came prepared to eat, drink and have a great time.
The three day food lovers weekend started with the Bucket List Bash on Friday night where revelers were able to sample bites from some of their favorite restaurants. Dishes ranged from the safe and familiar to the adventurous.
For our added entertainment, there was a photo booth by Coca-Cola, game tables and live musical performances. Thanks to a large tent and a couple smaller ones on the grounds, there was a place for the masses to take shelter from the rain, but it certainly made things a bit – let’s say – involuntarily but understandably personal. It was sort of a let’s just go ahead and get to know one another type of situation.
Bumping into strangers on a Friday night while surrounded by music, food and drinks is really kind of a good time. I guess that’s why it’s called a party.
