A couple weeks ago I made a small batch of Homemade Pumpkin Puree. Before using it in the Muffin and Ice Cream recipes I found on FoodGawker, I needed to get my hands on some Pumpkin Pie Spice. Instead of buying some from the store, I decided to mix up a little bit using the individual spices I already had on hand.
Here’s a quick recipe for mixing up just enough of it.
Pumpkin Pie Spice
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp ground ginger
½ tsp ground cloves
½ tsp ground allspice
½ tsp freshly ground nutmeg
Pinch of cardamom
Blend all spices together, then store in a spice jar.
This blend is also good when baking Sweet Potato Fries and when sprinkled on top of Chai Tea or Hot Chocolate.
How do you use Pumpkin Pie Spice?
I love Pumpkin pie spice! I just used this in a recent pumpkin bread recipe. Mmmm…

Adrienne, Pumpkin Bread sounds like delicious. Paired with tea, it would certainly be a welcome diversion from a typical breakfast.
