On a Saturday evening several years ago, my family and I were driving around Lawrenceville, GA in search of a place to dine and happened upon Papi’s Cuban & Caribbean Grill. The restaurant was new to us all but we were feeling adventurous and decided to try it. It turned out to be pretty amazing as you can read here.
We don’t live close to that specific location anymore but all is not lost. There are six other locations in GA (Midtown, Stockbridge, Kennesaw, Tucker, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport) including a more recent one at Emory Point. I’ve dined at two of these additional locations and each time, all expectations were met. Great food. Great vibes.
I had an opportunity to attend the grand opening celebration at this new spot and found it revived my adoration for the destination. When you walk into the space, the décor ushers you into the rich, colorful culture of Cuba. From the tile on the floor and the art on the walls to the background music which accents your meal as much as the seasonings, Papi’s took care of all the details to ensure as authentic an experience as possible.
