A few days ago, Miss A and I stopped off at the Dekalb Farmer’s Market to pick up a couple things for dinner. As we were looking for some juice, we stumbled upon several varieties of fruit pulp. I was a little excited about it because it reminded me of the ingredients in the Mango Milkshake I told you about here.
It’s such an easy drink to make at home. I started by pouring 1 cup of 2% milk into a blender along with 3 tbsp of granulated sugar and 3 tbsp of sweetened condensed milk. The mixture was blended until frothy and then I added 1 cup of ice cubes.
Next, I poured in 1 cup of mango pulp and blended until smooth.
The result was a delicious and refreshing Mango Milkshake. I love the recipe as is but it can certainly be adjusted to your individual liking as most recipes can. This milkshake is one of my absolute favorites. I plan on trying it again using fresh mango cubes and at some point, I’ll substitute other fruits too. If you decide to try it, I’d love to hear what you think.
That looks amazing! I have never heard of fruit pulps.
Andrea, I learned about fruit pulps after dining at Papi’s Cuban & Caribbean Grill. It sounded unusual but tasted amazing!
This looks and sounds wonderful. I really need to eat some breakfast before looking at any more food posts…lol!
