For your Friday viewing pleasure, I’m sending out some love to Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. They’re open again and if you stop into your neighborhood Scoop Shop, you’ll find some wonderful new Floats and Sundaes on the menu. Check these out!
Caramel Corn Sundae – Sun-Popped Corn Ice Cream, Salty Caramel Sauce and Virginia Peanuts.
Gooey Butter Sundae – Brown Butter Almond Brittle ice cream, Honey Butterscotch Sauce and Salty Caramel Sauce. I tried this one and fell in love with Sundaes all over again. It’s rich and full of crispy goodness with those little pieces of brittle. I’m a softy for that salty/sweet combo.
The Charleston Sundae – Sweet Cream Ice Cream, Salty Caramel Sauce, Blackstrap Molasses and Virginia Peanuts. Each of the three sundaes is served with a Convo Cookie perched on top. Inside, rather than some lucky numbers or random fortunes, there are conversation starters.
In addition to Sundaes, Jeni’s has also has partnered with Boylan Bottling Company to offer Ice Cream Floats using Boylan’s root beer and sodas. The new creations include an Upside Down Root Beer Float which uses Root Beer Ice Cream instead of vanilla and Boylan’s Crème Soda instead of root beer with Whipped Cream on top.
Double Down Root Beer Float – made with Root Beer Ice Cream + Boylan’s Root Beer, then topped with Whipped Cream.
Classic Root Beer Float – Ndali Estate Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Boylan’s Root Beer with a Whipped Cream topping.
The weekend is upon us so I think a little treat is in order, don’t you? I’m thinking the Upside Down Root Beer Float is going to be my next indulgence. What will be yours?

These are totally splendid! I love the idea of those “conversation starters” in the cookies.

Yes, those Conversation Starters are pretty cool Regine. It’s a truly fun idea!
