On the first Saturday of each month, a few ladies from my family & some of our friends get together for brunch. We gather at someone’s home or a restaurant to enjoy inspired meals sprinkled with great conversations.
The following is a photo share of some of the delicious breakfast dishes ordered when we gathered this month at Murphy’s. The restaurant is a popular Virginia Highlands neighborhood destination.
After brunch, we took a leisurely stroll and visited some of the shops in the area and even stopped by the local fire station to let my 3 year old niece check out the fire truck. The fireman who assisted us was awesome!
Setting aside time like this to simply relax and enjoy each other over a meal gives us something special to look forward to each month. Do you take time to gather with friends and family regularly? What’s your favorite memory from one of your events so far?
It’s so wonderful that you take time to do this. I’m part of a group of friends that meet monthly for dinners and twice a year for girls’ weekend trips away. It’s not only fun, it’s a necessary thing so we don’t all go crazy. We need each other!! (and after seeing your photos, I NEED THAT FRENCH TOAST. WOW it looks delicious!) –Lisa

Hi Lisa! I like the idea of your girls’ weekend trips away. I could certainly use a road trip now.
Yum! The white chocolate mocha latte and the french toast look delicious! Me and my little family love going out for breakfast on Sundays after church. The local neighborhood destinations always end up being the best ones!
