Pizza is one of my favorite foods of all time. The version above is inspired by a Sandra Lee BBQ Chicken Pizza recipe I found on the Food Network. Dinner for our most recent Friday Family Night included this pizza which we washed down afterwards with a movie. I made a few adjustments based on the availability of ingredients and ease in preparation since Mr. B, Miss A and I were making them individually.
We started with a slice of flat bread which was brushed very lightly with butter on each side.
Next, a layer of Kraft Thick n Spicy Original barbeque sauce was spread onto the flatbread.
Then we layered slices of smoked gouda cheese,
diced pieces of rotisserie chicken which had been tossed in a small amout of barbeque sauce,
sliced red onions,
and loving sprinkles of shredded mozzarella, provolone and parmesan cheeses.
After baking for 15 minutes, chopped cilantro was sprinkled over the top. I promise you that the cilantro made all the difference on this pizza. It was so so good.
Miss A and I have decided that we could make some pretty tasty appetizers with this recipe because the flatbread is just the right size to yield perfect finger food sized slices.
