Monday afternoon I had the unique opportunity of attending a preview tour of Earth Fare, a “specialty organic and natural foods grocery store” located in the Emory Point development. The casual walk-through was a good way to become familiar with the types of food, products and services the store offers.
As we began our stroll through the aisles, I and other members of the Atlanta Food Bloggers’ Society, were able to sample refreshing bites of fresh berries and pineapple. The produce department is the first place I go to when I shop. The quality of the fruits and vegetables help me decide if I’ll continue to shop at a store whether it be for food or other kitchen essentials. In this particular case, the fruit was delicious and the wealth of information we received during the tour has me excited to return.
Of course, a nice little treat helps to make shopping worthwhile as well. These little gems are Earth Fare Organic Chocolate Truffles.
If truffles aren’t enough, these chocolate bars might do the trick. Endangered Species Chocolate donates 10% of their net profits to partner organizations that support species conservation, habitat preservation and humanitarian efforts. This is just one of those “feel good” items the store carries; there are many more.
In the Beauty/Wellness section, there’s a nice selection of natural cosmetics, toiletries and even handmade soaps with fun names like Koala Bar, Granola Bar, Lemon Bar and Beach Bar.
Of all the wonderful things I learned during our tour, I was most impressed by Earth Fare’s emphasis on their Quality Standards. The food they sell “is as close to the ground as it gets” which is how they determine what goes on their shelves.
The foods they sell have:
NO High Fructose Corn Syrup
NO Artificial Fats or Artificial Trans Fats
NO artificial sweeteners
NO antibiotics or synthetic growth hormones in their fresh meat or dairy
No artifical colors or flavors
No artificial preservatives
NO bleached or bromated flour
There are lots of locally grown and produced products throughout the store which can be easily identified by these red signs bearing the Local Emblem. We ran across favorites like Springer Mountain Farms Chicken, Georgia Grinders Nut Butters and Bee Well Honey.
There was so much to absorb during the tour and you’ll find the same to be true when you visit Earth Fare for yourself. I would suggest that you schedule a slow morning or afternoon to do some shopping at this new location. Pick up a sales booklet, grab a muffin and a cup of coffee, if that’s your thing, and find a seat in the indoor/outdoor cafe to map out your game plan. FYI, there’s free wi-fi.
On your list of things to do and see, be sure to:
- check out the essentials in the Beauty & Wellness Section because we all love to be pampered,
- visit the Scoop Your Own Ravioli Cooler (hint: there’s a mac n’cheese flavored one in there),
- sample the fresh ground nut butters machine, then come back to thank me later because they’re THAT good,
- peruse the Cheese, Meat and Seafood counters for snack or meal ideas,
- consider building your own Smoothie because it is an option in THIS store,
- visit the Earth Fare Kitchen and Deli to behold all the wonderful fresh prepared items you can choose from including Sandwiches, Sushi, Salads, Smoothies, Sides and more,
- be amazed and thankful for the things I haven’t mentioned because you LOVE surprises!
Finally, spend a few minutes at the Savings Signup Center so you can get deals sent to you by email and Join Tomato Bank so you can score rewards on your food purchases.

I love Ezekiel Bread!
Abby I just checked out their website. It looks like this bread could work for the Shred diet I’ve been researching. Thanks for sharing!
I love Tom’s products for my family
Hi Latanya! Tom’s is a very popular brand for families. I’ve been considering using one of their deodorants. Will have to see if they’re stocked at Earth Fare.
I’m a facial oil fanatic and love using cold-pressed and unrefined organic oils such as rosehip seed oil, marula oil, cocunut oil amongst others.
Neha, LOVE the idea of all of those oils. I have very sensitive skin and found that grapeseed oil works well on my face. My sister actually uses coconut oil for her hair and I’ve been considering doing the same. I’m going to have to buckle down and seriously look into the benefits and potential uses of the others. Thanks for participating!
I love tarte cosmetics. They are really the best one
Hi Joti. I’ve never heard of this brand before but they look interesting on the brand’s website. Thanks for sharing and for participating!
This is a great giveaway. I’d love to try the fresh fruits and vegetable as well as their baked items.
