One of the things that makes a dining experience really awesome is a special occasion. On Sunday, March 23rd, Bahama Breeze celebrated World Meteorological Day by offering invited guests to try their Dark ‘n Stormy signature cocktail along with a sampling of their Happy Hour appetizers.
The Dark ‘n Stormy is from Bermuda and takes its name from “the treacherous waters surrounding the island.” It is a mixture of Gosling Black Seal Rum and ginger soda. I know, it sounds a little turbulent, and it is, but only in a good way.
As far as the appetizers go, Steeler Fan and I re-sampled a couple of our favorites which are the Coconut Shrimp served with a citrus mustard sauce and the Warm Spinach Dip and Chips.
We also tried a couple new items…
Crispy Onion Rings made with Panko bread crumbs and shredded coconut flakes
and Chicken Empanadas, filled with braised chicken, mushrooms and onions.
After, trying all of those appetizers and cocktails, Steeler Fan and I were served the dinner entrees we ordered in advance. I had the Calypso Shrimp Linguine and he had the Seafood Paella.
We both had filled ourselves on appetizers so most of our dinner was packaged up to go home with us. As it turns out, they reheat really well.
Bahama Breeze is currently offering Happy Hour appetizers at half-price from 4pm to 6pm Monday thru Friday. If you’re looking for someplace to wind down at the end of the work day, just remember Cocktails, Appetizers and Savings…you can get them all at this Island Grille.
