Last week I was invited to a Media Dinner at Thirteen Pies which is tucked neatly within Buckhead Atlanta’s mixed-use development. The restaurant is not your typical pizza parlor. A quick look at the menu will likely solidify that fact for you.
The Thirteen Pies menu showcases appetizers, chef-driven salads, house-made pastas, thirteen different pies and some wonderful seasonal desserts. The famed “thirteenth pie” rotates monthly and is a favorite feature for regulars. Its description can be found on the “features board” alongside a pretty tasty selection of small plates which are available throughout the week.
Shortly after a warm greeting from our hostess Erica Key, who blogs over at Eating with Erica, a number of items from the menu started circulating the tables with Chef McCormick orchestrating. What an experience it was!
With a clear view of the open kitchen and the company of some fab bloggers like Linda of Do.Food.Better., Milla who writes Happily Eating, Lauren, the charm behind Pretty Southern and Kiwi of Kiwi the Beauty, I was pretty much set for an evening of good food and good conversation. Here’s a look at the selection of dishes we shared.

Yes, I tried every single thing listed above and loved the experience of it all. I think the best way to enjoy a place like this is with a table of friends and/or family. The atmosphere on this particular night was pretty energetic.
If you’re the deal seeking type, Thirteen pies is currently promoting a 20 percent off lunch special with the presentation of one of the flyers distributed by Buckhead Atlanta to surrounding businesses. You know promotions do expire so get it while it’s good.
Also, every Monday evening, Thirteen Pies hosts an “industry night,” offering half-priced food for all restaurant industry employees.
