Hello, my name is Teresa and I laugh at my own jokes. It usually happens during some random light-hearted conversation with Steeler Fan. While we’re talking I say something that I think is funny.

Not like ha ha that’s so funny
But like laughing silently while biting your little pinky fingernail funny

Then like Laughing Out Loud cause why don’t you get it funny

And when he stares at me like I have issues
It adds fuel to the funny

So it becomes
Like leaning to one side cause I’m about to lose it funny

And just when I think I’m almost done,
I Iook up just in time to see Steeler Fan lose his resolve and let a CHUCKLE escape!

Then it’s all like
Rolling On The Floor Laughing with tears and everything funny
Cause seriously
Steeler Fan doesn’t really get the joke
But he still thinks it’s funny 🙂

Now how cool is that?!

This post was inspired by the Writer’s Workshop hosted by Mama Kat at Mama’s Losin It!  The prompt I chose this week was:  3.) Describe the last thing that made you laugh really hard.

Now it’s your turn…Visit Mama’s Losin’ It! to see the other prompts and then Join In!

Now, about the linguine ….

For dinner recently I purchased a pack of chicken sausage and wasn’t sure at the time how I would prepare it.  When I returned home I found some cream in the fridge along with a little broccoli from the night before.  I didn’t measure ingredients but I bet you could do this yourself with these pictures.

Pour a little olive oil or vegetable oil (just enough to coat the bottom) into a frying pan. Saute the sausage until lightly browned then remove from the pan.  Slice each link into half inch pieces, then return them to the frying pan.

I think the Habanero with Monterey Jack variety is great because, after slicing the cooked sausage, the cheese and spices helped to flavor the sauce.

Pour in just enough heavy cream to cover the sausage and add about 1 tbsp butter.  Cook on medium high heat until the heavy cream thickens a bit.

I tossed in my leftover broccoli and heated another minute or two.  Afterwards, I served it over a plate of  linguine.

I sprinkled the top of my Chicken Sausage Linguine with a little parmesan cheese.  Now this makes me happy!

Happy Thursday Day before the last day of the work week!

I love that kind of laugh. I always laugh at myself and I honestly think that is one of my best qualities – the ability to laugh at me no matter how ridiculous or dire the situation. My husband on the other hand always laughs at me too, but i usually wonder if it is because he thinks I am funny or if he knows something I do not 🙂

Love your post and I must try that meal. Visiting from MaMa Kats.

I laugh at my own jokes too. Too bad no one else does! That’s ok though because I love to laugh. Stopping by from mama Kat’s. I chose the same prompt.

BTW those shausages look delish and I don’t eat sausage!

I spent a good portion of the time laughing at my own jokes too. Nothing wrong with that. Maybe we’re just exceptionally funny? 😉

    Oooo, pasta! My favorite!

I guess Steeler Fan is not laughing today. The game was close in the end wasn’t it?

That recipe looks delicious and so simple! my guy loves fettuccine alfredo (and anything creamy really) so I have to try this. Funny how this dish was intimidating to me and instantly you’ve made it so do-able that I can’t wait to try for myself!

    Thanks!

No Steeler Fan isn’t laughing today Inga. It was such a disappointing loss.
Let me know what you think if you decide to try the linguine.
