The last time my heart melted was last night when I received a totally unexpected gift. It isn’t my birthday or anything. I can’t even recall doing something so amazing that it would warrant the receipt of something so sweet. Maybe it’s because I baked cookies yesterday.
All I know is that I walked into my office and found this sitting on my computer…
It’s a hand-painted cabochon gifted to me by Miss A. As I admired her work, I realized that my 16 year old daughter wasn’t just hanging out in her bedroom listening to music and talking on the phone with her friends yesterday. She was thinking about me. And she showed it.
Of course my heart melted. How could it not?

Aww.. that is so sweet of her. And a great reminder that our loved ones are thinking of us even when we think they are busy with other things.
